It is the stuff of the awful Boris Johnson whom Starmer and crew so criticised.

We can be certain of this…Corbyn, for all his thousand faults, would never have stooped so low. We expected more of Keir Starmer.

    Strarmer has got this wrong.

    Fair enough, he bought a season ticket for Arsenal FC. He paid for that with his own money. It is sensible that he sits in the Directors’ Box at the Ground so that there is no risk of anyone taking a potshot at him- no probs there – entirely sensible.

    However, his clothes and spectacles being paid for by donations is unacceptable. It is greedy.

    His wife’s wardrobe provided by generous donations is unnecessary and very greedy.

    He should apologise and mend his greedy ways. He can afford to buy his own clothes and so can his wife. He bought his own business suits when he was a barrister and the DPP. Lady Starmer can afford to pay for own wardrobe.

    It’s hard to know what he was thinking. Or perhaps he wasn’t thinking.

    His one real distinguishing feature was that he was squeaky clean, then he goes and blows it.

    Very disappointing.

    I wonder if Lord Ali would help me with the cost of a new Pierre Balmain suit or make a gift to Emma Dent Coad of a Coco Chanel little black dress.

    Did Lord Ali pay for Corbyn’s smart new look? For thirty years, Corbyn wore that ghastly brown tweed jacket with a plaid shirt and that scruffy beard- Sartorial Self-Styling the Trotskyite Way.
